MDE-LIO automatically collects certain information about users of the LMS to perform site analyses such as analyzing trends, administering the site, preventing fraud, tracking website navigation in the aggregate, and gathering broad demographic information for aggregate use.
Types of Data Collected
While using the LMS, we may ask you to provide us with certain information that can be used to contact or identify you. This information is typically found in a school directory and may include but is not limited to: first and last name, school district, email address, phone number, street address, city, state, and postal code.
To provide the requested services, we may also ask for certain student information, including, but not limited to, student UIC number, student grade, or student age. We never collect or ask for personal student information such as student name, transcript, physical address, email address, or phone number.
The LMS automatically collects usage data, which may include information such as the type of device you are connecting with, your device’s internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, the pages of the LMS that you visit, date and time of your visit, time spent on specific pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

MDE-LIO may use your personal data to:
• Provide and maintain our service, and monitor the usage of our service.
• Manage your registered user account. The data you provide grants you access to a variety of services available to registered users.
• Manage your requests for books, products, and equipment.
• Contact you by email, telephone, or another equivalent form of communication.
Your personal information will not be disclosed or used for purposes other than those specified, without your consent, except as authorized by law.
Retention of Your Personal Data
MDE-LIO will also retain usage data, mentioned above, for internal analysis purposes. Usage data is generally retained for a short period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen security or improve functionality of our service, or when we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

The security of your personal data is very important. Measures to guard against loss, misuse, alteration, or unauthorized access to your information have been instituted.
